1How We Process Your Files (Local vs Cloud)

We categorize our tools based on where the processing occurs to give you full transparency into your data's journey.

Local-First Processing (PDF Utilities): Core tasks like merging, splitting, deleting pages, and sign-and-protect happen 100% locally in your browser via WebAssembly. Your files never leave your device for these utilities.
Local AI OCR: Our AI OCR tool runs locally using WebGPU vision models. No text or images are uploaded to the cloud for recognition.

2Secure Cloud Processing (Image & Advanced PDF)

Specific heavy-duty tasks require specialized server hardware to ensure professional quality.

Cloud-Based Tools: Tools such as Adobe-compatible PDF converting (Word/Excel/PPT), AI Background Removal, and high-performance Image Compression utilize our encrypted backends. Data is streamed via HTTPS, processed in memory, and instantly discarded.
Zero-Data Retention: Our backend infrastructure is programmed to wipe session markers and file blocks immediately after the download link is generated. We do not store your files on our disks.
